Azbukum is a Serbian language school and a centre for Serbian culture. It is founded in 1995 as an independant and non-profit assotiation specialized in educational programs for foreigners willing to learn Serbian. More than five thousand people from all over the world have been participating in the Azbukum programs: learning Serbian and discovering cultural and historical heritage of the Serbs.

The Petrovaradin fortress was built in the 18th century by Austrian war engineers and is one of the most preserved fortresses in Europe. Building of the fortress lasted from 1692 to 1780. This was one of the most protected Austrian fortresses and was referred to as the Gibraltar on the Danube. Today it is one of the most popular tourist spots at which the famous Exit Festival takes place.
