Crash Courses
Are you seeking a well-structured language program, but are pressed for time? An intensive course is just the ticket! Our crash courses (week long and up to 60 hours) are designed for busy professionals or individuals who lack the time to enroll in a standard course. Standard Courses
Standard courses can last from 2 to 12 weeks. They are offered several times a year. Students may enroll for as many weeks as they wish.
Study Abroad Program
If you would like to spend a semester or an academic year in Serbia at one of the Serbian universities or other institutions, including Azbukum, we can assist you. Our Centre can act as a host institution. We will help with arranging your arrival and stay in Serbia, the registration process, and orientation. As advanced proficiency in the Serbian language is needed for study at any Serbian university, the Azbukum Centre offers special immersion programs to get you up to speed fast!
Azbukum offers several options:
1. You may attend Serbian language and/or cultural courses at Azbukum throughout your stay. For these programs, prior Serbian language knowledge is not necessary as we offer instruction in English as well. Upon completing the Azbukum program(s), the Centre will issue an official transcript so that you may receive credit at your host insititution.
*Prior to embarking on a study abroad program with Azbukum, please verify with your host institution that you will receive academic credit for your Azbukum course(s).
2. Azbukum Serbian language courses combined with study at a Serbian university is also possible. Enrolling in an intensive Azbukum preparatory program (August-October) prior to the official start of the academic year (mid October) is vital!
3.Solely enrolling at a Serbian university (Azbukum will assist with arranging your study, registration, and introduction to life in Serbia.).
Azbukum Preparatory Program
The Azbukum preparatory program is created for those who want to attend a Serbian university, work and/or live in Serbia and need the minimum required Serbian language proficiency to be successful.
*Please bear in mind, in order to be admitted to a Serbian university, students must pass the exam for Serbian as a Foreign Language as outlined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Azbukum offers a comparable exam. Ask us about it!
As the official academic year in Serbia begins in early to mid-October, Azbukum offers specially created intensive language courses which last from August until the end of September. A student can study from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on how much preparation is needed.
Those who are at the beginner or low-intermediate level would need at least three months of Serbian language instruction prior to starting any university program.
